Attendees will hear from the distinguished panel about what’s happening in receiverships in the State of Utah.  Attendees will be able to gain an understanding of:

1.0 CPE Business Law credits are recommended

This session is considered a basic program level session.  Advanced prep is not necessary, but bringing thoughts on improving receiverships in the state of Utah, as well as questions will be of value.  There are no pre-requisites.

The Commercial Receivers Association is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

The panelists will cover receiverships in Utah, including recent changes to receivership statutes, how to implement a receivership, the receivership process, and outcomes of a receivership.  This panel will get into details on common issues that lead to receiverships including partnership disputes and bank defaults as well as how the Plaintiff works through these processes leading into the receivership.  The panelists will also provide recommended tools for building a budget for the receivership, important items to address in the receivership order, and handling filing requirements throughout the receivership.  Attendees will leave the session with a better understanding of the receivership process in Utah, as well as having key takeaways that can be utilized in their receivership practice.
